This Saturday, Paint Your Neighborhood Red!

Post date: Jul 14, 2015 5:19:22 AM

(July 7, 2015, Chicago, IL) Or white, or blue, or any other color! Because it's Art in the Park from 10 AM to 2 PM, and our theme is Your Neighborhood Your Creation! We will have cardboard boxes, and swatches of building materials, and paint of course. And you and your little ones will build and lay out houses in your vision of our neighborhood.

What does 'home' mean to you? Come express yourself! We have something for everyone - all ages, all free!

Plus, we will have a crafts table, comic book drawing, and Wayfinding - a mobile art project! Also, community tables to tell you about fun things to do (aside from helping out Unity Park, of course)!

As always, we bring the supplies, you bring the creativity and fashion and your summer spirits!

Enjoy the music, and mingle with the neighborhood artists!

Coming soon is a performance of Julius Caesar by Chicago Youth Shakespeare, with audience participation segments!

It's Your Park Day!

We planted, we mulched, weeded, and raked, and it was all good! Thank you to volunteers from the Chicago Parks Foundation, The Home Depot, and UPAC! Here are some pictures from the work-day!
