Put the finishing touches on our new playground!

This summer, Unity Park was selected as one of the parks that would receive a playground renewal as part of the Chicago Plays! program. This renewal is happening now, and this Friday (9 AM - 2 PM), we will put the finishing touches on it at Unity's Community Work Day!
Some of the old playground sets at Unity dated from the 1980s! And it could be over 10 years before you get another chance to help put in a new playground. So come on out, help spread the fibar, and schmooze with the community and Ald. Colon on a beautiful fall day!
We will have water, and light snacks (and work gloves, of course). Logan Square's Intelligentsia Coffee is going to provide coffee! Please dress appropriately, most importantly wear closed toe shoes, sneakers, or boots. We will be working with wheel barrels, rakes and the like.
