Earth Day is coming up!

Saturday, April 23, from 10AM - 2 PM

Earth Day will be celebrated on Saturday, April 23 in our Chicago Parks. Once again, the Friends of the Parks organization is coordinating volunteer projects and activities at many parks and forest preserves. The theme is Be Seen Being Green and if you arrive early enough, you might get a t-shirt that says just that!

We, will offer the popular Plant a Flower, Take a Flower Home program. While supplies last, children and adults can help get the garden growing at the north end of the park. Tools, gloves and flowers are available. Adults can help with shrub pruning to aid visibility into the park. Boulevard Bikes will perform free bike tune-ups for all youth bikes. The event is sponsored by the Unity Park Advisory Council and led by Betsy Elsaesser.
