(September 24, 2016. Chicago, IL) We're going to be at the 5th annual A Day in Avondale this Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 11 AM - 6 PM! Our UPAC gallery space will be located at the United Neighbors of the 35th Ward (UN35) office, at 2959 N Milwaukee Ave. Stop by to talk to us and check out the family tree we all made together at Art in the Park in July! It's a walk down 30 years of Unity's history!
We will also screen some great videos from our events, including Art in the Park and Lucha Libre! There will be a coloring activity for kids, and advisory council members will be around for you to talk to about what you want to see in the park. A Day in Avondale, Avondale's annual art-walk and neighborhood showcase, features exciting live music, popup galleries, arts and crafts, even a Puerto Rican food fest, and much much more! Like juggling, murals, how to make a harmonica... just an ol' timey neighborhood fest! It happens all along Milwaukee Ave, between Diversey and Central Park.
